Meet our Councillors

Tessa Wildgoose - Chair

Tessa Wildgoose

I have been a governor at Glenfield Primary School for the past ten years and am proud to be part of a school that values both academic achievement and the personal growth and wellbeing of every child.

With a background in primary education and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), I am passionate about ensuring that every child is supported to reach their full potential. Both of my children have been through the school, and it has been wonderful to see the rich opportunities and experiences the school provides to help pupils grow, learn, and thrive.

Karen Cole - Vice Chair

Karen Cole

I joined the governing body in January 2023 as a parent governor. Both of my children attend Glenfield Primary School. I have over 10 years of experience in Higher Education so aim to use my transferable skills to help support the school and to make sure our children’s needs are met both academically and socially.

Nathan Squires - Staff councillor

Nathan Squires

My name is Nathan Squires and I am the new teacher governor at Glenfield Primary School. At school, I am the Head of the Speech and Language Provision and I am passionate about ensuring that all pupils develop  communication skills  to enable them to become well-rounded and confident individuals. My favourite subjects to teach are English and PE. I believe that all classrooms should be rich in language and allow pupils to express themselves. Outside of work, I enjoy watching football and playing golf.

Matt Bowyer - Trust Appointed Councillor

Matt Bowyer

I was born and raised in Glenfield, and now own a business here, so I wanted to give something back to the school and local community. As a person I believe I am creative, focused and can offer good ideas with a methodical solution to any problem that arises. I can support a team, listen to others and help to adapt those ideas and implement them to my best ability.

Zoe Robey - Trust Appointed Councillor

Zoe Robey

My name is Zoe and I am the new Community Councilor here at Glenfield Primary school. Although this is a new role for me, I am committed to developing and extending my skills to support the school and its pupils to achieve their visions and goals. I have a passion for education and believe all children should have the opportunity to study in a safe and encouraging environment and I very much look forward to helping Glenfield maintain this.
