Children and Families Coordinator

The Role of the Children and Families coordinator at Glenfield Primary School

As the Children and Families Coordinator and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, I play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all our pupils. Alongside other safeguarding leads across the school, I work to create a secure and supportive environment where every child can thrive. A key part of my role is working closely with families to improve attendance, ensuring they understand both the importance of regular school attendance and the school’s expectations. I work closely with outside agencies to offer guidance and connect families with any additional support they may need. I’m always around to offer a listening ear and practical help, and I’ll be on hand at parents’ evenings to provide support and strengthen the important link between home and school.

In addition to this, I actively support the Glenfield Primary Parents' Group (GPPA) with fundraising ideas, helping to strengthen the school’s connection with the local community. Whether through events or initiatives, I’m committed to ensuring Glenfield is an integral part of the community.

You’ll often find me on the gate in the mornings and afternoons—please don’t hesitate to approach me if you have any questions or need support. I’m always here to help and strengthen the connection between home and school.

You can contact me on 01162872188 to arrange an appointment, or email parentofficer@glenfield.leics.sch.uk
