September 2025 update

Year 5 pupils recently carried out an exciting science experiment exploring substances, mixtures, and solubility. The class investigated how different materials, such as sugar, salt, coffee and pepper, behaved when mixed with water.
Working in groups, the children predicted which substances would dissolve and which would remain visible. They carefully measured, stirred, and recorded their results, discovering that some substances form solutions while others create mixtures that can be separated.
The experiment sparked curiosity and teamwork, with pupils discussing reallife examples like salt in the sea or sugar in tea. Their findings made science both fun and practical!
