September 2025 update
The children in EYFS have settled into school very well!
We have been having lots of fun making new friends and exploring our learning.
We have been looking at a story called 'Elmer'. We have been discussing how special Elmer is because of his differences and have shared something that makes us different and special.
We have worked as a team to create a large patchwork Elmer using lots of different colours and materials. Another one of our favourite activities this week has been colour-mixing. We have had a great time mixing colours to see which new ones we can create!

October 2025 update
In art, the children have been using different materials to make marks. We have used crayons, felt tip pens and chalk.
Recently, we have been focusing on observational drawing. We went outside to our garden and had a go at drawing the large tree! We focused on the structure of the tree and then looked at the details. We then selected our chosen materials to add colour to our drawings. We noticed that some of the leaves on the tree had
changed colours too! We saw brown, red, orange and yellow leaves.

November 2025 update
In EYFS, children have been enjoying the story Supertato!
They used lots of exciting adjectives to describe Supertato and his super powers.
Everyone designed and created their very own superhero vegetable- showing great creativity and imagination!

December 2025 update
We have been getting ready for Christmas!
We read our new story 'Dear Santa' which the children really enjoyed. We then wrote our letters to Santa. The children worked very hard to use their phonic knowledge to help them to segment the sounds in words, before writing down the corresponding letters. We are very proud of our writing this week!
